BARCELONA PLATFORM

The SBS Stationary is the grid-optimized member of ME's 3rd-generation Barcelona BMS platform, sharing a common architecture and software stack with SBS Core, SBS High, and BMDU. All SBS controllers support multistring configurations.

All four Barcelona variants run the identical SBS Software Platform. One software image supports every variant, switchable at runtime via the Configuration Framework. This means SBS Core benefits from the same validated, ASIL D-capable hardware on a stationary route.

Compatible with CMBXX cell monitoring board family, supporting arrays of over 500 cells per controller over 1500V-isolated isoSPI.

  • ONE CODEBASE, ALL VARIANTS

    Same source tree builds SBS Core, SBS High, BMDU, and SBS Stationary. The Configuration Framework switches behavior at runtime.

  • STATIONARY-GRADE CERTIFICATIONS

    Functional safety certified with ISO 13849-1 Category 2, PL d, with UL 1973 and UL 9540 compliance designed in. UL 5500:2023 certified for secure remote software updates and EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance prepared.
